Kiyomizu Temple~ 清水寺

We walked the street approaching Kiyomizu temple.
清水寺への参道を歩いて来たところ。

The stage of Kiyomizu is very high. We Japanese say that we have to be as brave as if we were jumping from Kiyomizu stage when we have to make a big decision.

清水の舞台がとても高い事から、何か大事な事を決める時は清水の舞台から飛び降りるぐらいの覚悟が持て、と言われています。

舞子さんの踊りを見ながらの夕食。
可愛らしい舞子さんが挨拶に回って来てくれました。
サンデイはテレビで舞子さんのドキュメンタリーを見た事があり
興味があるようでした。

The Maiko selected John from the audience to play a music game with her. John learned how to play this game very fast!

It was my first experience seeing a Maiko's performance, too.

舞子さんに指名されて、音楽に合わせたお手つきゲームに参加したジョン。
とても覚えが早く、次に参加した日本人の男性よりも上手でした。
実は私も舞子さんの踊りを直に見たのは初めてでした。
