バーベキュー・ポークを注文してみました。
There were a few food shops in the craft show. I ordered BBQ Pork.
このようなアメリカ式サンドイッチでした。
見た目は今一つでしたがとても美味しかったのです。
お肉は細かく裂いてあって、甘辛ソースで煮詰めたような感じでした。
It was a sandwich like this.
It was very delicious.
The meat was pulled and boiled down with salty-sweet sauce.
I saw these very cute things, they looked like sushi. It was very attractive and colorful. Some people looked at this, and they said "Very cute sushi!." Sushi is popular in Buffalo, too.
このお店、猫ちゃんグッズのお店でした。このお寿司は猫が噛んで遊ぶためのおもちゃでした。
このお寿司の中に猫が大好きなイヌハッカという乾燥ハーブが入っています。
日本でいう”猫にまたたび”のようなものでしょうか・・
お寿司の右隣にあるのは中国のお菓子『フォーチュン、クッキー』。
最初は稲荷寿司かと思いました。
だってお店の人がお寿司ととこの菓子をパックにして売っていたんです。
彼女は親切に説明してくれました。オリエンタル、と言っていましたが・・・う~ん？
This shop was full of cat's goods. This "sushi" is a toy for cats. It is filled with catnip. There are Chinese fortune cookies on the right. I thought it was another sushi: Inarizushi first, because the staff packed three pieces of sushi and two fortune cookies in the same plastic container. The lady kindly told me that the pack was "Oriental."
猫は飼っていないものの、かわいかったし、面白かったので3つ買ってしまいました。
ご飯の部分は白いタオルですが芯の具と巻いている海苔はフェルトです。
I bought 3 pieces of sushi, although I don't have a cat. They are very cute and interesting. They used the white towel for rice, and felt for the ingredients of sushi and seaweed.
入れてくれた箱も、このように可愛いものでした。

なぜか気になるケトルコーンのお店。この日は雨だったので外にあったケトルコーンのお店は有り難いことにすいていました。
味は塩味が少しあるものの、ほんのりした甘さでした。
Kettle corn is very attractive food to me.
I was so glad to know that they didn't have a line in front of the shop because it was rainy. The taste was a little salty and sweet.

このように大きなケトルの中でポップコーンを作ります。
出来あがると手前の樽に移します。
He made popcorn in a big kettle like this.
After the corn finished popping, he put it in a barrel.
もうすぐ出来あがるから、移す瞬間を撮ったら、と言われたのに
ドジな私はうまく撮れずに失敗。
一瞬で手前の樽に入ってしまいました。
They advised me that I could take a picture when he put it from the kettle to the barrel. It was almost done. I felt so sorry, because I couldn't do it. The popcorn was put into the barrel in a split second.
そして、こんな風に袋に詰めます。
手前の女の子が持っているのはMサイズ、後の女性が持っているのはLサイズ。
日本では見られないすごい大きさ。
They packed them like this.
The bag that the girl is packing is M for medium. The bag that the lady is packing is L for large. They were very big bags.
多くの人がこの一番大きいサイズを買っていました。
私は一番小さいサイズを購入。
一番大きい袋は私が手に下げると、床につくかも、という長さです。
Most people bought the L size.
