ビグドイ地区〜Bygdøy

フェリーに乗ってビグドイ地区に行きました。

We went to Bygdøy by ferry.

ここからフェリーで20分くらい。

It took about 20 minutes by ferry.

ノルウエー民俗博物館

The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History

フェリーを降りてから邸宅の並ぶ坂道を歩くこと15分ほどで民俗博物館に着きました。

We went along a sloping road from the pier; it has many mansions for about 15 minutes to the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History.

どうしても見ておきたかったスターブ教会。

I wanted to see a stave church most of all.

バイキング時代終わり、12~13世紀の間に多くが建てられたと言われているノルウエーの木造教会です。

屋根の上には龍の頭がついています。バイキング船にもつけられていたそうで、龍の頭は魔除けだったようです。

Many of stave churches were built between 12th and 13th centuries; they were made by wood. On the top of the church were heads of dragons. They were a kind of charm to protect people from harm.

なんとも独特な作りで印象的でした。

The structure was very impressive.

この教会はゴルというところから民俗博物館に移築されたものだそうです。

中も当時のまま残されていました。

This church was moved here from Gol. 

The inside was untouched.

博物館の敷地にはこのような民家も移築されています。

屋根の上に草が生えていて何とものどかな感じでした。

There were many houses of that time. I felt the peaceful and calm life when I saw the houses; they had grass on the roof.

当時の服装を着て、その頃の生活を再現してくれている人々。

People wore the clothes of that time and they recreated the life of that time.

                         フォークダンスを披露してくれる時間にちょうど間に合いました。
                                              We were in time to see the folk dancers.

部屋を占領してしまうほどの大きさ。

The ship was so big; it occupied the entire room.

博物館の外の売店で食べたサーモンハンバーグ。
注文してから焼いてくれました。上に玉ねぎのソースがかかっていて美味しかった〜

This is a salmon hamburger that we bought at a stand outside of the museum.
The staff baked the salmon after we ordered it; it was topped with onion sauce, and was delicious!

オスロ市内観光〜 Sightseeing in Oslo

2015/8/7　市庁舎〜ノーベル平和センター〜国立美術館

オスロパス24 （買った日時を自分で記入。公共交通機関は24時間フリーパス）を購入して観光開始。

We bought an Oslo Pass for sightseeing; we wrote the date, month and time on it, then it was valid for 24 hours on public transportation.

正面にある２羽の白鳥の彫刻が印象的。

A statue of two swans in front  of the entrance was impressive.

中はホールはこのように広く、名画が飾ってあります。

このホールはノーベル平和賞の授賞式が行われることで有名です。

Inside is a big hall; this is famous for being the setting of the award ceremony for the  Novel Peace prize.

天井も高く周りは立派な壁画で囲まれていて、まるで美術館のようです。

２階にはムンクの絵もあるということですが、この日は閉鎖されていて入れませんでした。

The ceiling was very high and there were large painting on the walls around the hall. I felt like I was in a museum.  I heard that there is a painting by Edvard Munch on the second floor, but we couldn't go upstairs that day. 

扉のデザインもこのように凝ったものでした。

The design of the entrance door was exquisite.

 続いてノーベル平和センターへ歩きます。
Next, we went to the Novel Peace Center.

You can buy a chocolate that is designed to be the same size as a real medal.

国立美術館
National Gallery

”ムンクの叫び”　の油絵はムンク美術館ではなく、この国立美術館にあります。

The oil painting "The scream" by Edvard Munch is here, not in the Munch Museum.

ノルウエーの画家であるムンク。彼の絵画だけを飾った１室がありました。

幼い頃に母を亡くし、続いて姉を亡くし、自らも病弱だったムンクは死への不安、孤独感が強く、その思いから描いた絵画が多く、観ている私の気持ちも沈みました。

Edvard Munch is Norwegian painter. His works are on display here.

He had the miserable experiences of losing his mother and his sister. He also had a fear of death and loneliness from having weak health.  This affected his works. I felt sad after his works.

次はフェリーに乗り、民俗博物館があるビイグドイ地区に移動です。

Next, we went to Bygdoy by ferry to see the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, the Viking Ship Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum.

オスロへのクルージング〜 Cruising from Copenhagen to Oslo

クルージングの船に乗るために港まで路線バスに乗ったのですが
遠回りの路線に乗ってしまい、間に合わなかったらとヒヤヒヤしましたが、
なんとか無事に到着。
船は18:30 に出発。翌朝9:45 にオスロに到着予定です。

My husband I took a bus to port. However, the bus route was detoured and we were worried that we may be in time for our ship, but we made it on time.
We departed Copenhagen at 6:30 p.m. and arrived in Oslo at 9:45p.m.

Our ship was from the Crown Seaways line which runs between Copenhagen and Oslo.

右のソファーは倒すとベッドになり、左側の壁に畳まれているベッドも降ろして二人分のベッドが出来上がります。

The sofa on the right becomes a bed and there is a bed on the wall on the left side, too.

We made two beds from the both sides.

船の中だということを忘れそう・・・階段もちょっと豪華な感じ。
大きなショッピングコーナーもありました。

I kept forgetting that I was on a ship. The staircase was gorgeous. There was a big shopping space.

日の入り。綺麗な写真が撮れました。

I enjoyed the sunset from the ship. I was happy to get a beautiful photo.

ルイジアナ近代美術館〜Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

今日は街から離れたところにある美術館に行ってみることにしました。
コペンハーゲン中央駅から電車に乗り約40分。

We went to a museum that was far from the city; it took about 40 minutes from Copenhagen central station.

列車にはこのような表示があり、中は自転車、車椅子、バギーなどがそのまま入れる広いスペースがありました。

また、コペンハーゲンは車道の隣に自転車専用道路がある位、自転車利用者が多く、レンタル用のシテイ・バイクもありました。

The train had signs like this. There was enough space in the car for a bike, wheelchair or buggy.

Bikes were a very convenient mode of transportation and there were many cyclists in Copenhagen. So there is space for a bike lane alongside the road for the cars. 

ヘムレベック駅

北欧の木造の素敵な家並みが続く道を歩くこと約10分。歩道に標識が出てきます。
ちなみに、道路は歩道、自転車専用道路、車道の３レーンがあり、自転車も安心して走れます。

We walked along the street with cute wooden houses for about 10 minutes. We saw the sign that said "Louisiana".

By the way, you can see the three lane road; pedestrians, cyclists and cars. The cyclist road is wide; they ride with ease.

エントランスは以外に小さく11時のオープンを待つ人でいっぱいでした。

The entrance of the museum was smaller  than I expected. There were so many people waiting for it to open.

この美術館は世界で最も美しいといわれているそうですが
それは、その立地によるものだと思われます。
広い敷地は海に面していて館内からも海が見えます。

This museum is said to be the most beautiful museum in the world. Maybe it is because of the location; the building and the grounds face the beautiful ocean and clear blue sky. You see them from the inside of the building.

窓を突き抜けての作品
海を生かしてのデザインで印象的でした。

Here is a piece of artwork. The design was impressive; the work gives life to the location and brings it indoors.

~草間インスタレーション
ちょうど日本人の芸術家である草間彌生さんの作品の部屋がありました。
彼女の作品は水玉模様のモチーフを使うことが特徴ですが、部屋自体が作品で、なんとも不思議な空間でした。キラキラ光るクリスマスツリーに吊るすオーナメントのようなボールが部屋全体にぶる下がり、そこに様々な色の光が当たって、まるで銀河の中に立っているような印象を受けました。
この小さな空間の部屋には一度に2人しか入れません。写真が撮れなくて残念でした。

~Kusama Installation
There was a small exhibition room of Ms. Yayoi Kusama's work: she is a Japanese artist. A common theme of her work is polka dots; the whole room was dedicated to her art and it was mysterious and impressive; many balls like Christmas ornaments were hanging from the celling and many colored lights are shining on the balls. I felt like I was in a galaxy.
Only two people can enter at once. I was sorry that I didn't take pictures of this piece.

外にはヘンリー・ムアなどの彫刻が点在しています。

箱根の彫刻の森美術館と似ていますが、海に面している分、さらに開放的でした。

There were sculptures of Henry Moore outside. It looked like Hakone Open Air Museum in Japan, but this museum was more open because it was facing the ocean.

右側はテラス席もあるルイジアナ・カフェ。

とても印象的な美術館でした。お勧めです。

There is an open cafe called "Louisiana cafe" that had a beautiful ocean view. 

I recommend that you visit the museum. You will have a nice time there.

北欧への旅〜Travel to Denmark and Norway

2015/ 8/4（火）〜8/13 (木）
休暇が取れたので夫と二人でコペンハーゲンとノルウエーのフィヨルド観光に行って来ました。

My husband and I took time off to travel to Copenhagen and a Fjord in Norway.

2015/ 8/5 　

デユッセルドルフ経由でコペンハーゲン着
We arrived in Copenhagen via Dusseldorf.

夜の10時前だというのに、やっと日が沈んできたところで、そしてあいにくの雨でした。

The sun was setting; it was almost 10:00 p.m. surprisingly, and it was raining.

2015/ 8/6 

コペンハーゲン観光スタート
雨は上がり、気持ちの良い晴天です。

コペンハーゲンといえばアンデルセン。人魚姫の像を一度はみておきたくて運河のボートツアーに参加。

We started sightseeing in Copenhagen. Fortunately, it stopped raining. It was fine and the sky was a clear blue. We are lucky!
Whenever I think of Copenhagen, I remember Hans Christian Andersen. We took a boat tour to see a statue of the mermaid.

運河には橋がたくさんかけられていますがかなり低いのでボードで通る度に頭を下げなければなりません。また、ボートには屋根がないのでかなり日差しがきつかったです。

There were a lot of bridges on the canal.  We were thrilled to bow our head low because the bridge girder was low. The sun shine was strong and we are in an open boat, so I felt hot!

足元に音声ガイドがあり、日本語も選べます。このボートツアーで街の歴史やボートから見える街並みについての説明が聞けました。

We had an audio guide that came through a speaker in front of our knee. I learned about the history of Copenhagen from the audio guide and it explained about the buildings that I saw from the boat. 

ニューハウン 
世界の船乗りたちが集まったといわれ、カラフルで可愛らしい建物が並んでいます。

Nyhavn
It is said that many fishermen came here from all over the world, and there are very pretty buildings here along the canal. It is one of the most famous spots for sightseeing in Copenhagen.

人魚姫の像 

私が初めて読んだ童話が人魚姫だったのでなんだか懐かしい感じがしました。

I felt that I saw a dear friend again, because the mermaid fairy tale was the first one I read in my childhood.

ボートを降りての撮影時間はたったの５分。人魚姫像は想像していたよりも小さく、しかも観光客が多すぎて良い写真は撮れずじまいでした。

We had only 5 minutes to take pictures of the mermaid in this boat tour.

The statue was smaller than I expected. To make matters worse, it was too hard to take pictures because there were many tourists. I didn't take a good picture.

ボートツアーを終え、街を散策。

After the boat tour, we enjoyed the city.

ロイヤルコペンハーゲンのお店にも入りましたが値段も高すぎるし

食器を割るのが得意な私にはもったいなくて買えませんでした。

We visited the head store of Royal Copenhagen; however the tableware was very expensive. 

I gave up trying to buy something because I am good at breaking tableware! 

チボリ公園  

デイズニーランドや多くの遊園地のモデルになったといわれている遊園地。

Tivoli 

This amusement park is famous for being the model of Disneyland and many other amusement parks all over the world. 

行って良かった・・と思える遊園地でした。レトロな感じと最新式のものとが上手に融合されていて、中は緑の多い綺麗な庭園、野外劇場もあったり、孔雀が放し飼いになっていたりしました。

It was a nice experience for me to go there. It was a mix of new and nostalgic and it made a favorable impression. There was a lot of green, pretty gardens with flowers, an outdoor theater called Peacock Theater and there were a few peacocks in the garden.

There were a few fair rides.
