シンガポールへ再び〜Visiting Amanda in Singapore 2

ガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイ
Gardens by the Bay

私たちはタクシーでガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイに行きました。
シンガポールのタクシー代は日本に比べてかなり安いので
移動には便利に使えます。

ガーデンズ・バイ・ザ・ベイは巨大植物園です。
敷地には巨大ドーム型の植物園とクラウドフォレスト、
スーパーツリー、庭園があります。
2012年６月にオープンしたそうです。
ドームは外観がユニークな形の巨大な温室で、中は涼しくなっています。

シンガポールはいつも何か建築しています。

We went to  Gardens by the Bay by taxi. The tax fare in Singapore is much cheaper than in Japan. You can use it easily. 

Gardens by the Bay is a huge botanical garden. They have Flower Dome, Cloud Forest( Dome), Super Trees and Outdoor Gardens. The gardens opened in June in 2012. The outward appearance of the dome is very unique. They are huge conservatories and the insides are cool.
Singapore is always constructing something new.

まず私たちはスーパーツリーの周りを中心に約25分でぐるっと回ってくれる

音声ガイド付きのトラムに乗ってみました。

First, we took a garden cruiser tram; it was an audio tour. We took a 25 minutes ride around Bay South Garden.

スーパーツリーを近くで良く見れました。
18本のスーパーツリーで一番高いものは50mもあるそうです。
写真のように草で覆われていて、
一番上の部分はソーラーシステムのようになっているようです。

We enjoyed the Super Tree Grove; the tallest one of the 18 Super Trees is 50m. They are covered with plants. The tops of them function like a solar energy.

スーパーツリーの近くには遊歩道があって、歩いている人が小さく見えました。
There is a sky way and we can see people walking.

スーパーツリーの周りには10の 庭園があります。
There are 10 unique gardens around the Super Trees.

この後、フラワードームに行きました。
ドームの半分ではちょうど菊花展が催されており、
もう半分には変わった植物が展示されていました。

After that, we went into the Flower Dome.
Half of the dome was filled with beautiful mums  because the Celebration of Chrysanthemums event was held. The another half has unique plants.

Many kinds of mums

日本でも春の花の桜に対し、秋の花として菊はとても親しまれています。

Mums are familiar with me because they have been loved also in Japan as an autumn flower as the opposite of the cherry blossom, which is the spring flower.

私たちはもう一つのドームのクラウド・フォレストに移動しました。
We moved to the Cloud Forest in another dome.

私はこの空間がとても気に入りました。
入ってすぐに滝を持った35mもある緑に覆われた人口の山があります。
山に沿って上の階から散策路が作られています。

I liked the Cloud Forest. There are 35m mountain covered with green and waterfalls. There was a sloped road along the mountain form the top floor.

ドームからは海とシンガポール・フライヤーやマリーナ・ベイ・サンズが見えます。
We can see thorough to the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel and Marina Bay Sands with the ocean from the dome.

この遊歩道はとても楽しめました。
並外れたスケールと下にいる人たちを見下ろすことができ、スリル満点でした。

I enjoyed walking around the sky road very much. It was breathtaking and thrilling when we looked down at the people who walked below.

散策路の両端はメッシュになっており、
そこに一歩踏み出すには勇気が必要でしたが、印象に残る体験でした。

Both sides of the sky road was mesh; so we needed courage to step there! This experience was very impressive.

アマンダのおもてなし夕食
Amanda's dinner

今日のシェフはアマンダです。
彼女はお料理が上手で、味付けもとても美味しいのです。
メニューはチキンフィレのソテー、シナモン風味のマッシュスクワッシュ、アップルの甘煮、アプリコット入りのブラックライスでした。

Today's dinner's chef is Amanda! She is a very good cook. I liked her dinner.
Chicken filet, the mashed squash with cinamon, cooked apples and  black rice with apricot.

いつも驚かせられるのがお料理の手際の良さで、
これは母親サンデイから引き継がれたものと思われます。
アマンダの実家での二人の連携したお料理の手際の良さをよく知っているからです。
美味しくて食べ過ぎてしまい、明日の朝のモーニングブッフェはパスかな、
と思いました。

She surprised me by showing her cooking skills. She is a good cook because of the instruction from her mother: Sandie. I know that their teamwork-style cooking is perfect!
I enjoyed her delicious dinner so much, so I think that I will pass on the morning buffet.
