Oregon

オレゴンは私がとても好きになった印象的な所だった。

私達が行ったのはポートランド、マウントフッド、コロンビア渓谷。

最初にポートランドのワシントン公園の中にあるローズガーデンに行った。

I　loved　Oregon; I　thought　it　was　very　impressive　place.　We　went　to　Portland,　Mt.　Hood and　Columbia　River Gorge area.

At first, we enjoyed roses at International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park in Portland.

We enjoyed beautiful nature on our way to the rose garden.

マウントフッドの近くにある歴史のあるティンバーランド・ロッジ

This is Timberline Lodge, a historical building. 

何と言っても素晴らしかったのはマウントフッド。

初めてトリリアム湖とマウントフッドを見た時の感動は忘れられない。

絵のように美しい光景で、まるで絵葉書を見ているようだった。

インフォメーションセンターで鳥を見ることができるような自然の美しいところがないかと聞いてみたところ、この場所を薦めてくれたのだった。

I will never forget how I felt when I saw Mt. Hood and Trillium Lake for the first time. It was a picturesque scene; it looked as perfect as a postcard. I had gone to the information center and asked where a good place was to see the birds and wildlife, and they recommended this place. 

最初は湖しか見えなかったのだが、小道に入った途端にマウントフッドいきなり視界に入ったきた。湖ととも見えた光景に本当に魅せれらてしまった。その美しさは感動的だった。

アメリカで見た風景の中でも一番印象的で息をのむほどの美しさだった。

At first, we saw only the lake; we didn't see Mt. Hood. However, when we took the trail around the　lake, we were fascinated by the scene of the beautiful mountain with the lake. I was very moved by the beauty of the scene. It was the most impressive and breathtaking scene I have ever seen in the U.S.A. 

　

湖のまわりの小道を歩いてみた。鳥は見れなかったけれど、充分満足できた。

We walked the trail. I couldn't have asked for more, even though we never saw any birds. 

子供を連れた家族が湖で遊んでいた。

もし、この人達を見なかったら、本当に自分達がそこにいることを信じられなかったと思う。

Some families relaxed at the edge of the lake. If we haven't seen other people playing and relaxing there, I wouldn't have believed that I was really there.
